Connecting embedded products will extend the scalability limits of today’s systems even beyond the Internet’s international scale. One individual can have hundreds and a large number of Embedded Systems products, disrupting traditional networking and, in specific, addressing strategies. In addition, it would not be possible or economically viable to connect all these products by classic wired technologies; as a result, wireless will turn out to be an attractive alternative, opening up new research and development locations.
